Film Streams — Nonprofit Cinema with Film Education Courses & Filmmaker Events

Film Streams

About This Opportunity

Film Streams is Omaha's nonprofit cinema, devoted to film as an art form. They operate the Ruth Sokolof Theater in downtown Omaha and the historic Dundee Theater in midtown. Beyond regular screenings, Film Streams runs Courses — multi-film seminar series for adult audiences that explore a director's body of work, a cinematic movement, a country's film tradition, or a historical period, with discussion between films. They also host Q&As with visiting filmmakers, an annual Local Filmmakers Showcase for Omaha-area film work, and live musical performances to accompany silent films. Two beautiful old cinemas, operated as a community resource.
